Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the best way to learn more about OLFCS or schedule a tour with my family?
For more information or to schedule an after school tour, please contact our School Office at (209) 524-4170 or schoolinfo@olfcatholicschool.com.
What happens after my child is accepted?
After a new student is accepted to OLFCS, families have one week to decide if they will enroll in the school. Once a student is enrolled, the new family is matched with a “welcome family” to help with the transition. In addition, new families receive a variety of materials to help them prepare for their arrival in August.
Is transportation to school provided?
No formal transportation service is offered to and from school each day. The school is happy to provide a list of families that live in your area to create carpool opportunities.
Can new families apply for tuition assistance?
Yes. We offer a limited financial aid program. The financial aid application process is completed independently of the admissions process. Please refer to the finacial aid section for details.
Is an interview required to apply to OLFCS?
Yes, it is very important for each family to get to know Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School through an interview with our principal. At the interview you will learn more about our Schoolwide Learning Expectations which exist to create students who are Active Christians, Lifelong Learners, Effective Communicators, Self-Evaluators and Problem Solvers.
Must our child be Catholic to attend OLFCS?
Admission priority is given to Catholic families as we are a parish school, however we do accept children of other faiths. The admittance of students from other faiths enhances our educational learning community. With the exception of receiving the sacraments, students of all faiths participate in religion classes and activities.
Do you provide before/after school day care?
Extended Day Care is available to all students after school, on all regular school days, by reservation only. Operating hours are: 7:00–7:45 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM. There is an additional fee for this service.
