Faith Formation

We strive to create a Christian educational environment where the parish clergy, teachers, students and parents can become involved in teaching and learning the message revealed by God, building a community based on fellowship in the Holy Spirit, and fostering service to the community through prayer, peace, justice, and love.

In order to achieve this goal we:

  • Experience the teaching of Christ through prayer, Scripture and liturgy.
  • Promote awareness that God is with us today in love, and is alive and real.
  • Clarify spiritual and moral values by learning the Church’s views, through studying Scripture and Catholic social teachings, and discussing how to live these values today.

Build a communal and individual life of faith and prayer by providing opportunities for variety of prayer forms, and monthly faculty-student prepared Masses. Encourage the understanding of, and participation in, the Sacraments

Liturgical Celebrations

Each school year begins and ends with a school-wide Mass celebration. Mass is also celebrated bi-monthly on the first and third Friday of each month. In addition to Mass, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School participates in Catholic celebrations and traditions: Holy Days of Obligation, Feast of our Lady Guadalupe, Blessing of the Animals and Reconciliation.

Sacramental Preparation

Sacramental Preparation is provided according to parish and diocesan policies. The parish religious education program provides both parent and student preparation sessions. Second graders prepare to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. Third graders prepare to receive the sacrament of First Eucharist. Confirmation preparation is done in grade seven and eight. The sacrament is received in Eighth Grade.

Altar Servers

Students in Grade 4-8 are eligible to become altar servers. Those who wish to sign up should contact the Parish Office for the training schedule.
